CEO COMMENT

The move to Irongate

After 16 years at our current location, we are excited about the upcoming move to our new base at Irongate, Hastings.

This purpose-built facility has three main areas: a precast manufacturing plant, a civil and support services building, and an office / administration space.

The main precast building is complete and four gantry cranes have been installed and commissioned. At 4,250 square metres, it’s a substantial facility. It’s also an energy-efficient one - drawing on supplementary solar power for the hot water curing process,.

The 1,400 square metre civil, fabrication and mechanical workshop is currently being fitted out. This area will also house our joinery workshop and CNC machine. The mechanical bay at the end of the building will have high roller doors to allow crane access. On the floor above the joinery workshop, there will be a staff room with toilets, lockers, and a kitchen and dining area.

The large, open-plan office and administration area will include a boardroom and break out rooms, an adjacent staff room and well-appointed kitchen, with an outdoor break area to the north-east. It features a saw-tooth roof design providing natural light for the office space.

For the exterior, graphic precast feature panels will add impact to the northwest face of the office.
